F&P Manufacturing Unifor Update April 10, 2024
F&P Manufacturing Unifor Update April 10, 2024
Greetings F&P Manufacturing workers,
We wanted to provide you with a brief update regarding the ongoing union representation process. Today, representatives from both the union and F&P met with the Ontario Labour Relations Board in an effort to address and resolve any outstanding issues.
Despite our efforts, we were unable to resolve all matters required to proceed with the opening of the ballot box and the counting of ballots. The union has requested additional information from F&P to confirm the unique identifiers of employees, ensuring the integrity of the voting process by verifying that all participants are employed at F&P.
This step is crucial for maintaining the democratic principles of our unionization process. Unfortunately, due to these unresolved issues, the mediator has adjourned the proceedings until Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
It is our hope that once we receive the requested information, we will be able to work towards an agreement to count the ballots.
We understand that this delay may cause anxiety among our workers, but please be assured that the union is diligently working to ensure your right to join the union is protected and respected at every stage of this process. Our commitment to upholding these democratic rights is unwavering.
We are confident that F&P workers will soon benefit from the representation of Unifor and the advantages of negotiating a collective agreement that truly represents your interests within the workplace. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to moving forward together.Thank you for your continued support.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Unifor representatives.
In solidarity,
