Tues., April 12: 14:00-20:00 (2 p.m. – 8 p.m.)

Weds., April 13: 10:00-20:00 (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.)

CIRB Application Update

As mentioned in our last communication, the employee list and responses from the CLAC and GardaWorld have been received by the CIRB.

Unifor filed a response on Thursday April 7, ahead of the deadline to provide additional time to the various parties for review.

There is nothing out of the ordinary in the responses, but we did issue some challenges to individuals that we believe were not employed on the date of the application or moved to management. We believe most of these to be clerical errors and we don't anticipate much dispute from GardaWorld or CLAC.

We still expect the CIRB to issue a letter of understanding on April 13 and move the process towards the vote. We will keep you posted on this.

COMPLETED Weds. March 30 – Deadline for Employer to provide employee list of eligible voters

COMPLETED Mon. April 4 – Deadline for Employer and CLAC to provide response to the Unifor application

COMPLETED Mon. April 11 – Deadline for Unifor to respond to both the Employer and CLAC’s responses

Weds. April 13 – Deadline for CIRB Industrial Relations Officer to provide a Letter of Understanding to the parties regarding all positions.

CIRB Phone Calls

Do not be startled if you receive a call from the CIRB. They are making these calls to confirm the union cards submitted as part of our application. This is part of the regular process.
