Location: Room M47 this is a meeting space on the back of the Mezzanine facing away from the parking lots.

Tues., April 19: 14:00-20:00 (2 p.m. – 8 p.m.)

Weds., April 20: 11:00-17:00 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

CIRB Application Update

The CIRB Industrial Relations Officer issued a Letter of Understanding (LOU) on Thursday April 14. Technically the parties have 24 hours from the time of the issue to provide any comment. This will expire this afternoon, as the clock does not included weekends or holidays.

Again, we do not anticipate any issues with the LOU as there is verbal agreement amongst the parties on it. When the comment period expires the CIRB officer will complete a report and send it up to the Board members for review and a decision.

This decision will likely come with a vote order. While there is no firm timelines for the CIRB to come to this decision, we anticipate they will move quickly.

We will keep everyone posted as more information becomes available.

COMPLETED Weds. March 30 – Deadline for Employer to provide employee list of eligible voters

COMPLETED Mon. April 4 – Deadline for Employer and CLAC to provide response to the Unifor application

COMPLETED Mon. April 11 – Deadline for Unifor to respond to both the Employer and CLAC’s responses

COMPLETED Weds. April 13 – Deadline for CIRB Industrial Relations Officer to provide a Letter of Understanding to the parties regarding all positions.
