Magna Work Locations
Unifor is Canada’s predominant autoworkers union, representing over 41,000 auto workers in auto assembly, powertrain operations and auto parts.
Nearly 22,000 members work in auto assembly and powertrain operations (i.e. engines and drivetrain components). Approximately half of all auto assembly employees in Canada fall under a Unifor collective agreement, which remains among Canada's ‘gold standard’ labour contracts. The synchronization of contracts across the sector gives Unifor members more bargaining power in negotiations.
Unifor’s 17,000 auto parts membership is spread across over 100 bargaining units of all sizes. Unifor’s recent strategic pattern bargaining efforts in this sector show positive results.
Magna workers are signing Unifor cards at other locations because the union understands the industry and has negotiated collective agreements across the sector addressing the same issues faced at Auto Systems in Belleville: wages and benefits, overtime rules, scheduling, health and safety, and more.
Joining Unifor will give you a voice in the workplace on the issues most important to you, including benefits and compensation, emergency leave and more.
