Support Needed for Workplace Mapping at DYNA-MIG
I’m reaching out today to invite you to join us in a crucial part of your journey to strengthen worker representation and improve your workplaces – workplace mapping. Our friends at F&P Manufacturing used this approach effectively during their drive to successfully unionize, and now we’re hoping to leverage your support to gather similar information at DYNA-MIG.
Why Workplace Mapping Matters
Mapping is an important strategy that helps us understand the layout of each work area, the number of workers, job titles, and roles in the facility. This information is critical to ensure that your efforts are well-informed, organized, and fully representative of everyone at DYNA-MIG.
How You Can Help
To create a complete map, we’re asking for your support in the following ways:
-
Sharing Worker Information in Each Area: Let us know the approximate number of employees in your area or line, along with their roles (for example, if you’re on the assembly or stamping lines).
- Confidentially Providing Job Titles: If you haven’t signed a union card but are willing to help, please send your job title and work area. This information will remain strictly confidential.
Why Now?
We’re aiming to secure a strong representation of cards when it comes time to apply to represent you. By mapping out your workplace accurately, we can reach out to workers effectively and ensure everyone has the opportunity to learn about the benefits of joining Unifor, Canada’s largest and most trusted union for auto and auto parts workers.
Reflect on the Need for Union Support
Being part of a union means standing together for fair wages, safer work environments, and job security. Unifor has consistently proven that unionized workers fare better in these areas than their non-unionized counterparts, and we want to ensure that DYNA-MIG workers have the same opportunities for fairness and respect.
Next Steps
Please reply directly to this email with the information about your area. Your input will be invaluable in building a complete understanding of our workplace and the best approach to achieving our unionization goals.
Thank you for standing with us, and for your dedication to creating a fairer and stronger DYNA-MIG.
