It’s been nearly ten months since we first began engaging with DYNA-MIG workers about joining Unifor. From the beginning, the conversations were clear: you and your coworkers want fairness, real wage increases, a safer workplace, and a path to full-time stability.

We heard your frustrations loud and clear:

• Wages that aren’t keeping up with the cost of living.

• Health and safety concerns that go unaddressed.

• Inconsistent or unclear pathways to full-time status.

• Lack of a voice in decisions that affect your lives every day.

These are the very issues that unionized workers across Ontario have tackled—and won on—by coming together and forming a union. 

But here’s the reality: no union campaign moves forward without active support from workers inside the facility.

As Unifor organizers, we’re here to support, guide, and amplify—but it’s your voices and your efforts on the inside that make this campaign real. That means speaking with coworkers, sharing the confidential sign-up link, and answering questions when folks are unsure.

We will continue to do visibility outside the workplace, and we’re always just a call or message away. But the trust and momentum needed to win this campaign comes from you.
