Unifor Update - Bargaining Priorities
Greetings GardaWorld YYC workers:
Over the last number of weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to meet and speak to many of you. We know you are anxiously looking forward to finally getting the representation you deserve.
We hear you, we see you.
Since meeting with GardaWorld workers, we have listened to your questions and heard your concerns on what you want in representation and the issues that are important to you. Here are among some of the key items Unifor will fight for during bargaining:
- Putting members first by maintaining your currents benefits and gaining improvements.
- Increasing the pension contributions your employer makes and getting to decide democratically on what pension plan you deserve.
- Building on your current wages by gaining improvements for all.
- Negotiating language the eases the process of selecting vacations and schedules, while fighting to win improvements on monetary items (French language incentive, parking, etc.)
These are all things we fight in bargaining for all of our membership across Canada, with success.
As a union, feedback is paramount to us. We want to be in your corner and fight for the things that are important to you.
If there’s something missing that you want during bargaining, let us know.
Have your say at our upcoming information sessions.
