I’m reaching out  to let you know that the drive to bring every worker at GFX into the union is still alive and gaining real traction. Recent developments at Stellantis‑Windsor and GM‑Oshawa demonstrate that Unifor's collective pressure is already delivering results that protect our jobs and our families.

Why This Moment Matters

• GM Oshawa – a win we can build on
  Earlier this week General Motors announced it will delay the elimination of the third shift at the Oshawa Assembly Plant until at least January 30, 2026. This postponement is a direct response to the sustained lobbying by Unifor and its members.
• Local 222’s voice
  “Our members in Oshawa build a high‑quality truck that sells well because it’s made well by highly skilled autoworkers,” said Jeff Gray, President of Unifor Local 222. “We will continue to push for the third shift to be maintained and ensure that autoworker jobs in Oshawa aren’t another casualty in this trade war.”
• Stellantis‑Windsor
  Stellantis confirmed it will return the Windsor plant to a three‑shift operation in Q1 2026, another tangible outcome of our “Protect Canadian Jobs” campaign.
