HONDA workers are Joining Unifor Canada
Honda Associates have long been left behind the Detroit 3 and Toyota when it comes to wages, benefits, health & safety, and fairness in the workplace.

At its essence, a union is a democratic organization formed by workers to collectively advocate for their rights and interests in the workplace. Unions play a pivotal role in ensuring employees have a voice, fair working conditions, job security, and influence over decisions affecting their lives.
Unifor has a strong history of supporting workers across Canada in achieving these goals, and if there is sufficient interest, we are eager to offer our assistance. If you want to join the movement of workers influencing the direction and achievements of the Canadian Auto Industry, visit the page as well, for more information - https://www.uniforautohub.ca/
Here are some key points I'd like to share with you about your role in organizing a union and what you can expect:
- Education and Information: It's crucial for all employees to be well-informed about unions, their benefits, and the organizing process. Unifor will provide educational materials and can arrange informational meetings to address your questions and concerns.
- Confidentiality: Your decision to support unionization is personal. Maintaining confidentiality is vital to ensure a fair and safe organizing process. Your employer cannot take action against you for discussing or considering unionization.
- Collective Action: Organizing a union requires collective effort. Talk to your coworkers and colleagues about the benefits of unionization and listen to their concerns. Building strong support within your workplace is key to success.
- Legal Rights: Understand your legal rights concerning union organizing. Your right to join a union is protected by Canadian law, and your employer cannot interfere or discriminate against you for exercising this right.
- Open Communication: We encourage open and honest communication with Unifor organizers. We are here to support you every step of the way, answer your questions, and address any concerns you may have.
- Solidarity: Building a union is a journey that requires unity and solidarity among workers. Together, we can negotiate better wages, benefits, and working conditions for everyone at Honda Canada Manufacturing.
- The Role of Unifor: As your dedicated organizers, we will assist you in the legal and logistical aspects of the organizing process. We will help you navigate the certification process, negotiate with your employer, and ensure that your rights are protected throughout.
In essence, Unifor cannot organize a union alone – we need to know that Honda Associates are committed to this cause. Together, we can finally give Honda Associates the voice in the workplace that you deserve!

Unifor gives you the power to make your employer pay a fair wage, provide a decent place to work and a voice in the decisions that affect you. It's the organization that represents and defends workers from unfair treatment by the boss — and it really works. Since 2013, thousands of workers have organized with Unifor. Many, in turn, have helped other workers organize for a voice at work!
